Manual adjustment with a complete visual system

When the basin changes height, the mirror should still be useful

A fixed mirror can become poorly positioned when a washbasin is moved substantially lower for a seated user. Basicline 401 solves that by mounting the washbasin, mirror and overhead lighting onto the same movable back panel.

The system is intended for bathrooms where the preferred height is changed occasionally rather than repeatedly throughout the day. Once repositioned, the complete washing area remains visually coordinated.

Basin, mirror and light remain together

The Basicline 401 assembly is suspended from a wall-mounted track. Repositioning the assembly changes the height of the washbasin while carrying the mirror and lighting with it.

The 250mm range is divided into 50mm positions, making this a purposeful occasional-adjustment system rather than a continuously operated lift.

Flexible water and waste connections accommodate the changing basin position, while the LED light is connected to an external electrical switch.

Occasional manual adjustment

Five useful positions across a 250mm range

Basicline 401 does not use a powered motor or continuous gas-assisted movement. The assembly is manually repositioned on its wall-track arrangement in 50mm increments.

Best where adjustment is occasional

This type of manual system is particularly useful when a basin needs to be set for a particular user, changed between occupants from time to time, or adapted as requirements change.

It is not intended as the equivalent of a push-button electric lift for users who need to change basin height independently and frequently.

The Basicline 401 display in our Shower Area requires two people when manually changing the assembly's position. Follow Granberg's installation and operating instructions for the final system.

Choose the basin around the user

Different basin shapes change reach, projection and grip

The current Granberg family includes four principal basin styles with the 401, while the live Independent 4 Life catalogue may also contain remaining earlier variants. The right choice depends on approach distance, available room and whether integrated hand grips are useful.

425-003 Accessible rounded porcelain basin with tapered front edge.
425-010 Accessible basin with substantial rounded front edges.
425-011 Compact basin for smaller bathrooms or reduced projection.
425-015 Shallow solid-surface basin with integrated gripping areas.
