Accessible does not always mean automatic
Where the user wants direct control over flow and temperature, the geometry of the lever can matter more than adding electronic complexity.

Temperature control
Some mixers incorporate thermostatic control within the tap. Other outlets require or are intended to be combined with a separate thermostatic mixing valve positioned within the plumbing system.
TMV2-approved products are commonly used where controlled mixed water is required in domestic and residential installations. Match the exact approval and application to the project.
TMV3 products are intended for applications requiring the higher level of thermostatic performance associated with healthcare and vulnerable-user environments.
Where the tap itself is not thermostatic, a suitable separate mixing valve can blend hot and cold supplies before water reaches the outlet.

Water-connected products must be considered as part of the complete water installation. WRAS product approval is a recognised way of demonstrating that a fitting has been assessed against relevant UK water-fitting requirements within the scope of its approval.
Approval and installation are separate questions: a WRAS-approved product still needs to be suitable for the particular installation and fitted in accordance with its approval conditions and manufacturer's instructions.
