AKW / Contour FS-X062 Flow Switch, Primo Xtra / P12 Shower Waste Pump

The AKW / Contour FS-X062 Flow Switch (05PP11) is a replacement flow switch for compatible Contour Primo Xtra and P12 shower waste pumps. It detects water flow within the shower supply pipework and signals the pump control system to operate when the shower is in use.

Designed for installation on 15mm water supply pipework, the flow switch can be used with electric and mixer shower installations. It is supplied individually with two John Guest plastic inline pipe connectors and a Y-filter.

Important – Check Your Existing Cable Before Ordering

AKW shower waste pump installations may use either a flow switch or a flow sensor. These are different components, so please check the cable connected to your existing unit before ordering.

• 2-core cable: Flow Switch – AKW product code 05PP11 (this product).
• 3-core cable: Flow Sensor – AKW product code 25194 (sold separately).

If your existing component has a 2-core cable, this FS-X062 flow switch is the appropriate type of replacement, subject to pump and installation compatibility. If it has a 3-core cable, you will require the alternative AKW 25194 flow sensor.

Shower Installation Requirements

• Electric Showers: One flow switch is normally required, installed on the cold water supply to the shower.
• Mixer Showers: Two flow switches are required, with one installed on the hot water supply and one on the cold water supply.

Please note: This product is sold individually. For mixer shower installations requiring flow switches on both water supplies, order a quantity of two.

Installation & Replacement Information

Before replacing an existing flow switch, check that the component uses a 2-core cable and that the pump and shower installation are compatible with the FS-X062 model.

Fit the flow switch in the shower water supply pipework, with the directional arrow pointing in the direction of water flow. For mixer shower installations, a separate flow switch is required on both the hot and cold water supplies.

The alternative AKW Flow Sensor (product code 25194) is intended for compatible installations requiring a 3-core connection and should not be confused with this 2-core flow switch.

Installation should be carried out by a suitably competent person in accordance with the manufacturer's fitting instructions. Ensure the water and electrical supplies are appropriately isolated before undertaking replacement work.
