Hydromat EasyLap Double-Sided Self-Adhesive Butyl External Corners are designed to create secure, waterproof seals at exposed external junctions within wetroom and bathroom tanking systems.

Forming part of the Hydromat EasyLap waterproofing system, these preformed external corners are installed before the joint tape and membrane to maintain one continuous waterproof barrier throughout the installation. They are ideal for boxed pipework, nib walls, wall returns and other exposed edges where reliable waterproof sealing is essential.

The double-sided butyl construction allows Hydromat EasyLap membrane and joint tape to bond securely at critical junctions, while the flexible material accommodates movement within the structure to help prevent cracking or failure over time.

Once installed, the system can be tiled immediately with no curing time required.

Installation guidance:

• Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and free from contaminants
• Fill significant gaps or irregularities before installation
• Prime surfaces where required and allow to dry
• Install external corners before applying joint tape and membrane
• Apply joint tape overlapping onto the corner by 50 mm where required
• Hydromat membrane should overlap onto the tape by a minimum of 70 mm
• Use the integrated 50 mm EasyLap strip when joining membrane runs
• Roll all areas thoroughly to ensure maximum adhesion
• Seal all joints and penetrations using Hydromat Butyl Sealant
• The aim is to create one continuous waterproof layer down to the drain
