Hydromat EasyLap Double-Sided Self-Adhesive Butyl Internal Corners are designed to create secure, waterproof seals at internal wall-to-wall and floor-to-wall junctions within wetroom and bathroom tanking systems.

Used as part of the Hydromat EasyLap waterproofing system, these preformed internal corners are installed before the joint tape and membrane, helping to form one continuous waterproof barrier throughout the installation. The double-sided butyl construction allows Hydromat EasyLap membrane and joint tape to bond securely at critical junctions where movement and water exposure are highest.

The flexible butyl material accommodates structural movement while maintaining a permanently waterproof seal. Once installed, the system can be tiled immediately with no curing time required.

Installation guidance:

• Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and free from contaminants
• Fill significant gaps or irregularities before installation
• Prime surfaces where required and allow to dry
• Install internal corners before applying joint tape and membrane
• Apply joint tape into wall-to-wall junctions, overlapping onto the corner down to the floor
• Apply floor-to-wall tape overlapping onto the corner by 50 mm
• Hydromat membrane should overlap onto the tape by a minimum of 70 mm
• Roll all areas thoroughly to ensure maximum adhesion
• Seal all joints and penetrations using Hydromat Butyl Sealant
• The aim is to create one continuous waterproof layer down to the drain
