The Hydromat EasyLap Self-Adhesive Butyl Tanking System is a complete waterproofing solution designed for wetrooms, bathrooms and tiled areas, providing a fast, reliable and clean alternative to traditional liquid tanking systems.

Using a high-tack butyl membrane, Hydromat EasyLap creates an immediate waterproof barrier on both walls and floors. The system incorporates a 50 mm EasyLap self-bonding overlap, while all membrane joints overlap onto the joint tape by a minimum of 70 mm to create a continuous waterproof layer throughout the installation.

The fleece-backed membrane surface provides an excellent key for tile adhesive, allowing tiles to be fixed immediately after installation with no curing or drying time required.

Suitable for domestic and commercial environments, Hydromat EasyLap is compatible with underfloor heating systems and is ideal for level access wetrooms, accessible bathrooms and tiled shower areas.

How the Hydromat EasyLap system works:

• Prime the substrate and allow surfaces to dry before installation
• Install internal corners first
• Apply joint tape to wall-to-wall and floor-to-wall junctions
• Membrane overlaps onto the joint tape by at least 70 mm
• The integrated 50 mm EasyLap strip bonds adjoining membrane sheets together
• All joints and penetrations are sealed using butyl sealant
• Roll all areas thoroughly for maximum adhesion
• The completed system forms one continuous waterproof layer from the walls to the drain
• Tiles can be installed immediately after membrane application

• Use the correct drain interface method for the waste being installed
• Roll membrane, tape and corners thoroughly to ensure full adhesion
