Hydromat EasyLap Single-Sided Self-Adhesive Butyl Joint Tape is designed to create secure, waterproof joints within the Hydromat EasyLap wetroom tanking system, ensuring a continuous waterproof barrier across walls and floors.

Used in conjunction with the Hydromat EasyLap membrane (15 m x 550 mm, 7.5 m²), this high-tack butyl tape reinforces wall-to-wall joints, floor-to-wall junctions and membrane overlaps. The self-adhesive backing provides immediate bonding, while the split release film allows accurate positioning and easier installation.

As part of the Hydromat EasyLap system, the joint tape helps form one continuous waterproof layer from the walls down to the drain, allowing tiles to be installed immediately after application with no curing time required.

Installation guidance:

• Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and free from contaminants
• Fill any gaps or significant irregularities before installation
• Prime surfaces and allow to dry before application
• Install internal corners first
• Apply joint tape into wall-to-wall junctions, overlapping onto the internal corner down to the floor
• Apply joint tape into floor-to-wall junctions, overlapping onto the internal corner by 50 mm
• Do not overlap floor joint tape onto the vertical tape
• Apply Hydromat membrane from the corner, overlapping onto the joint tape by minimum 70 mm
• Use the integrated 50 mm overlap strip when joining membrane runs
• Roll all tape and membrane thoroughly for maximum adhesion
• Seal all gaps, joints and penetrations using Hydromat Butyl Sealant
• The aim is to create one continuous waterproof layer down to the drain
