The Maxxus Wetroom Kit combines a high-performance floor former, Hydromat EasyLap tanking system and Purus Minimax waste to create a complete, reliable solution for level access wetroom installations.

The Maxxus floor former is a robust 22 mm thick tray suitable for both timber and concrete floors, designed to create a seamless, step-free shower area. With a flat underside and integrated falls towards the drain, installation is straightforward while ensuring efficient water removal.

This complete kit includes the Purus Minimax 2-part waste and Hydromat EasyLap self-adhesive tanking system, allowing for fast installation with no curing time. A choice of stainless steel or tile insert grates, including premium coloured finishes, enables you to match both performance and design requirements.

Floor former installation:

• Flat underside with recessed fixing points for easy installation
• Suitable for direct fixing to timber joists or solid floors
• Can be rotated to position the drain in the ideal location

Hydromat EasyLap installation guidance:

• Tanking must extend at least 1 m up walls and 1 m into the room from the wet area
• All areas exposed to regular water must be tanked
• The objective is to create one continuous waterproof layer to the drain
• Prime all surfaces before installation and allow to dry
• Install internal corners first, followed by joint tape at all wall and floor junctions
• Joint tape must overlap internal corners by 50 mm
• Apply membrane from the corner, overlapping onto joint tape by minimum 70 mm
• Use the 50 mm EasyLap strip to join successive membrane runs
• Roll all membrane, tape and corners to ensure full adhesion
• Butyl sealant remains permanently flexible and must be applied to all joints and gaps

Drain connection (critical step):

• Purus Minimax uses a clamping ring system
• Mark the centre of the drain and cut a 107 mm hole in the membrane
• Press the membrane into the drain body and secure using the clamping ring
• This creates a secure, watertight connection at the most critical point
