The control is part of the accessibility

A lifting system is only useful if the user can operate it comfortably

Granberg offers several ways to control an electric worktop or island. The right option depends on the user's reach, dexterity, preferred operating position and the number of lifting systems within the room.

A fixed button creates a permanent known operating point. Mini controls create a more discreet fascia. A handheld remote can move with the user, while multi-channel controls can reduce several separate handsets to one.

The important part is to choose the control alongside the lift itself. Compatibility varies between generations and systems, so the control product code should be matched to the exact Baselift, Centerlift or other Granberg system being specified.

Choose the interaction first

Fixed, wireless or multi-system?

There is no universally best control. A permanent fascia-mounted button, a portable handset and a multi-channel remote solve different practical problems.

Fixed controls

Best where the user benefits from a predictable control position built into the worktop fascia or another convenient fixed location.

ALU-design Larger integrated up/down control format.

Wireless & handheld

Useful where a fixed control position would be inconvenient, or where the user wants to operate the lift from more than one position around the room.

Multi-system control

Where a project contains several compatible Granberg lifts, one multi-channel handset can control between two and five systems.

Do not select solely by appearance. Several controls look similar while using different connections or being intended for different lifting-system generations.

Retrofitting an existing lift? Confirm the exact lift model, control box and existing receiver arrangement before ordering. Wireless and handheld products may require compatible receiver hardware, particularly on older installations.

Frames, switches & power

Controls can become part of the finished kitchen fascia

The category is not limited to up/down buttons. Compartment frames allow compatible controls and switches to be grouped into a deliberate, coordinated panel rather than appearing as unrelated components.

Two- and three-position ALU-design frames can organise multiple compatible controls, while the black double frame provides a matching option for Granberg's newer black control language.

The range also includes a lighting switch, UK 230V power socket and extension frame. The extension frame can be useful where an ALU-design control needs to be surface mounted rather than recessed.

Three products in this category deal less with everyday up/down operation and more with managing how the lifting system is allowed to move.

Safety Key Lock

Allows compatible Baselift and Centerlift controls to be locked against unauthorised operation. This can be valuable where the adjustable surface should only be moved by an appropriate user or member of staff.

Stroke Limiter Programmer

Reprograms the upper and/or lower limit of compatible Granberg worktop and island lifts after installation. That can prevent the moving surface from reaching a window sill or other obstruction, or help align its permitted movement with neighbouring fixed worktops.

Memory Adapter Cable

The programmer itself is reusable. A memory adapter remains connected to each programmed compatible lift, so additional adapters are required when several systems need their travel limits changed.
