Linear Wastes

Contemporary level-access wetroom with a linear shower drain

Linear Wastes

Linear drainage for tiled, vinyl and microcement wetrooms. Start with the finished floor surface, then choose the drain style, length, outlet and finish that suit the installation.

Quick route

Choose the floor finish first. For tiles, decide whether you want a discreet tile-insert drain or a visible grate. Vinyl requires a dedicated clamping drain, while microcement requires a system designed for the seamless floor finish.

Want the drain to almost disappear?

A tile insert tray accepts the same floor finish as the surrounding wetroom. Only the narrow drainage perimeter remains visible, creating the more discreet of the two tiled-floor options.

Once the floor finish is decided

Then check the drain itself

Product selection still depends on the floor build-up and drainage arrangement. Check the exact drain and outlet specification before the former, screed, tanking or finished floor is installed.

Length Match the channel length to the shower layout and intended drain position.

Outlet depth & direction Check the available floor void and route to the waste pipe.

Flow capacity The drainage system must be suitable for the shower's expected water flow.

Waterproofing interface Tile, vinyl and seamless floors require different detailing around the drain.
