Put mains power, USB charging and cable-free phone charging where the kitchen actually needs them, using compact modules designed to disappear into worktops, furniture and other built-in surfaces.
Power access designed into the work surface
Power should be planned like any other kitchen function
This range is deliberately varied. Some products put two mains sockets behind a rotating cover; others use a compact circular opening for one socket or USB charging; others build wireless charging into the worktop or move it onto the wall altogether.
The useful starting point is therefore not the product name. Start with what needs to be powered, where the user will reach from, how much space is available below the surface and whether the power point should remain visible, sit flush or disappear when it is not being used.
In an accessible kitchen, that positioning can be as important as the socket itself. Bringing power closer to the usable working area can reduce unnecessary reach and help keep charging cables away from the parts of the worktop used for preparation.

All sockets supplied as UK sockets. The key difference is how each family integrates into the surface and how much connectivity it provides.
A rotating worktop module that hides its connections when closed. A light press turns the insert to reveal two UK sockets and USB-C charging, while the 53mm installation depth helps it fit above drawers or appliances in many layouts.
The compact One family uses a 54mm opening and approximately 50mm installation depth. Depending on the version, the same design language can provide a single mains socket, USB-A plus USB-C, or combine the One format with DisQ wireless charging.
Circle80 DisQ combines a UK socket, USB charging and 15W MagSafe-compatible wireless charging around an 80mm worktop opening. EVOline also offers dedicated DisQ charging pads where a mains socket is not required at the charging point.
A linear flush-mounted format with a protective closing cover. Configurations include double mains sockets and versions combining mains power with USB-A and USB-C, with roughly 51–53mm installation depth depending on the exact configuration.
Start with the task
A product with the most connections is not automatically the best choice. Match the function to the appliances, devices and reach requirements around that particular part of the kitchen.
Prioritise a mains-socket product such as BackFlip, One, FrameDock Hide or a Circle80 configuration, then consider where appliance leads will naturally run.
One and selected FrameDock, BackFlip and Circle80 products can provide USB charging without relying on a separate plug-in adaptor.
DisQ-based products add magnetic wireless charging, including integrated worktop formats, a compact charging pad and the wall-mounted WallDisQ.
Circle80 DisQ and selected One DisQ configurations combine charging functions with power access where a single integrated position is preferable to several separate fittings.
Quick comparison
Dimensions below describe representative configurations. Exact dimensions and connections vary by version, so the chosen product and its current technical information should always be checked before fabrication.
| Family | Integration style | Typical current functions | Planning point |
|---|---|---|---|
| BackFlip | Rotating rectangular worktop module | 2 UK sockets + USB-C | 215 × 88mm cut-out; 53mm installation depth |
| One / One DisQ | Compact circular / combined module | Single socket, USB-A + USB-C, wireless combinations | One family uses a 54mm cut-out and approx. 50mm installation depth |
| Circle80 DisQ | Round in-worktop power and charging module | UK socket + USB-A/USB-C + 15W wireless charging | 80mm worktop opening on current Circle80 DisQ products |
| FrameDock Hide | Linear flush-mounted module with cover | Double socket or socket + USB combinations | Approx. 51–53mm depth; cut-out varies by configuration |
| DisQ / WallDisQ | Standalone or wall-mounted charging point | Magnetic wireless charging up to 15W | Useful where charging is needed without adding another mains socket to the surface |
Always use the exact product drawing supplied with the selected configuration. Independent 4 Life product pages specifically advise against pre-cutting the installation opening before the product has been received.

Accessible power is about position
Concealed power can make a kitchen look cleaner, but accessibility depends on where the product is installed. A well-positioned integrated module can bring power closer to a seated user or to the active preparation zone instead of forcing a reach towards a rear wall socket.
Consider the complete movement around the socket: approaching it, opening or rotating the product, inserting a plug, removing it and managing the appliance cable once the product is in use.
Before installation
EVOline products may look similar from above while requiring very different openings and clearances below. Treat the electrical module as part of the furniture specification rather than as an accessory to add at the very end.
Decide whether the position needs mains power, USB charging, wireless charging or a combination.
Use the technical drawing for the exact product and configuration rather than assuming one family uses one cut-out.
Allow for the product body, cables, plugs and any drawer, appliance or height-adjustable mechanism underneath.
Check the connection method on the exact EVOline product and coordinate power provision with the wider kitchen installation.

DisQ charging
The category now extends beyond concealed mains sockets. EVOline's DisQ charging products include integrated options as well as dedicated magnetic charging pads, allowing the charging point to be chosen independently of the main appliance sockets.
The current DisQ charging pad is a slim 58mm-diameter, 6mm-high unit with wireless output up to 15W, supplied with a USB-C cable and UK power adaptor. WallDisQ takes the same idea onto a vertical surface, helping preserve worktop space where a dedicated wall charging position is more useful.

About EVOline
EVOline specialises in discreet power and data solutions for kitchens, offices, furniture and living spaces. Rather than treating the socket as a separate fitting, its products are designed to integrate electricity and charging into the surface itself.
Independent 4 Life's dedicated EVOline brand page brings together the wider product philosophy, planning guidance, showroom context and the different product types available for UK projects.
Where integrated power can help
Concealed sockets and wireless charging are small components, but their position can influence reach, cable management, shared use and how naturally power is integrated into a kitchen. Explore the wider Independent 4 Life solution routes that are most relevant to planning these details.
Consider power around the way the kitchen is actually approached and used, including reach, independence, cable position and whether sockets need to serve seated as well as standing use.
Explore solutions for disabled individuals →Wireless charging can reduce repeated plug handling, while socket mechanisms should be assessed for the force, grip and movement needed by the person who will operate them.
Explore solutions for dexterity issues →Bringing power and charging into a comfortable reach zone can reduce unnecessary stretching and help a familiar kitchen remain easier to use without making it look institutional.
Explore solutions for seniors →Shared kitchens need to work for people with different heights, reach ranges and routines. Integrated power can be positioned around the shared working zones rather than a single assumed user.
Explore multi-generational homes →Concealed socket systems are easiest to integrate when worktop construction, cabinetry, electrical supply and clearances beneath the surface can all be coordinated before finishes are fixed.
Explore new-build solutions →A kitchen refit is an opportunity to move power closer to the useful working area, but existing services, drawers and worktop construction need to be checked before choosing the module.

The right answer often depends on the exact EVOline configuration, so use these as planning guidance and check the individual product page and current technical drawing before fabrication.
It depends on the function and available space. BackFlip is useful where two concealed mains sockets and USB charging are wanted in a rotating worktop module; One suits a very compact circular opening; Circle80 DisQ combines power and charging functions in a round format; and FrameDock Hide provides a longer flush-mounted module with a protective cover.
BackFlip rotates within the worktop so its connections disappear when closed. FrameDock Hide is a linear flush-mounted system with a cover over the outlets. They therefore need different cut-outs, suit different layouts and should be chosen before the worktop is fabricated.
No. The category contains mains-socket, USB and wireless-charging products in several combinations. DisQ-based products provide wireless charging; other models may provide mains power, USB charging or both without a wireless charger.
Wireless performance depends on the phone, case material, case thickness and charging standard. Magnetic alignment can also matter on DisQ products. Check the compatibility of the device and case rather than assuming every case will charge reliably.
We recommend waiting until the exact product has been received and checked. Use the current technical drawing and installation instructions for that configuration before the finished worktop is cut, particularly because dimensions vary between EVOline families and versions.
Potentially, yes, but the complete installation needs to be planned around movement. The module body, supply cable, plugs and any connected appliance leads must remain clear of the lifting system and accommodate the full travel of the worktop. Ask us to review the layout if the socket is being integrated into a moving surface.
Position should be based on reach, approach and the task carried out in that working zone. The socket should be comfortable to operate and should not force cables across the main preparation area. Also check what is directly beneath the chosen position before the worktop is cut.
Yes. Independent 4 Life's Kitchen Three display includes Circle80 DisQ, BackFlip and FrameDock Hide. You can visit the Petersfield showroom or use the virtual-showroom viewpoints on this page to compare how the products sit within a complete kitchen.
