Innovations Bonding & Priming Agent - 1 Litre
Innovations Bonding & Priming Agent is a water-based primer designed to improve adhesion and reduce surface porosity prior to applying tanking systems, tile adhesives and finishes.
Fully compatible with both Innovations liquid tanking membranes and Hydromat EasyLap self-adhesive systems, this primer prepares a wide range of substrates to ensure a stable, reliable base for waterproofing and tiling. It is suitable for use on walls and floors in wetrooms, bathrooms and other tiled areas.
By sealing porous surfaces and enhancing bonding performance, the primer helps achieve consistent application and long-term durability across the full installation.
Preparation:
- Ensure the surface is sound, dry and free from dust, grease and contaminants
- Remove any loose material prior to application
- Lightly abrade smooth or glazed surfaces to create a mechanical key
Application:
- Apply using a brush or roller to achieve even coverage
- Allow the primer to dry fully before applying tanking systems or tile adhesives
- Concrete and porous surfaces: Apply 1 coat diluted at 3 parts water to 1 part bonding agent
- Plaster: Apply 1 diluted coat (3:1), followed by 2 neat coats before applying cementitious adhesive
- Timber: Apply 1 coat diluted at 1 part water to 1 part bonding agent
